1. WHAT ARE THE SPACES THAT YOU WANT TO BE DESIGNED? Is it a whole house, bedrooms (how many), bathrooms (how many), kitchen, living room, family room, outdoor space, basement, entryway, backyard, playroom...
2. WHAT DO YOU WISH TO ACHIEVE? *** Are you looking to: a) renovate, b) rebuild, c) upgrade, d) make an addition, e) you need just furnishing, f) is it a new-build home design?
3. WILL I BE COLLABORATING WITH AN ARCHITECT AND/OR CONTRACTOR? *** If YES, who is already working with you on this project? If NO, would you need recommendations? This answer will allow us to understand the scope of work on the project and assess how much time we will need coordinating with other trades (General Contractor, Architect,etc).
4. WHAT DO YOU CURRENTLY USE THE SPACE(S) FOR? *** For example, if it is a bedroom, do you also use it to watch nighttime television? If it is a living room, does it also get used as a game room?
5. WHO USES THE SPACE(S)? *** This helps us understand the members of the family: will the space need to be kid-friendly or pet-friendly, etc.
6. WHAT STYLE WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR CURRENT SPACE AS? *** List options such as traditional, modern, farmhouse, transitional, mid-century… You may also send a link to an image that looks similar to your space.
7. WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR CURRENT SPACE? It will help us to understand your preferences for your new space. The answers may be anything from paint color to open plan design, to large windows.
8. WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE MOST ABOUT YOUR CURRENT SPACE? ***It may be a particular color because it reminds them of something sad, or a squeaky floor, or the lack of a view, or too many walls, etc.
9. ARE THERE ANY SPECIFIC INTERIORS THAT YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE? *** This could be a museum, library, hotel, or even a friend’s house. Please provide a link to a reference image if you have one.
10. WHAT IS YOUR PLAN FOR THIS RESIDENCE? *** a) live there for a long time, b) flip it, c) sell it in a few years, d) rent it out, e) use a portion of it for an Airbnb? Each option would require different planning.
11. ARE THERE ANY ITEMS IN THE SPACE THAT YOU WISH TO REMAIN IN THE FINAL DESIGN? *** Sometimes clients are emotionally attached to objects, molding, or an artwork for it’s sentimental value.
12. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS, HOBBIES or PASTIMES? *** If your favorite pastime is reading, then we consider creating a reading nook. Or, we can try and bring elements of your favorite destination to your space – from light beachy vibes to woody ski cabin atmosphere.
13. HAVE YOU WORKED WITH AN INTERIOR DESIGNER BEFORE? WHAT DID YOU LIKE OR DISLIKE ABOUT THE PROCESS? ***
14. HOW SOON DO YOU WANT TO START THE PROJECT? *** . (a) immediately, (b) next 3 months, (c) in 6 months, (d) in 1 year
15. HOW SOON DO YOU WANT THE SPACE TO BE COMPLETED?*** Some people prefer entire project to be finished at once, others, want their space remodeled in phases.

18. WHAT IS THE APPROXIMATE INVESTMENT FOR YOUR PROJECT? *** Your home is your most valuable investment. Interior design upgrades will bring up the value of your home.
