When renovating a home in Santa Monica, consider a deep understanding of coastal materiality, marine climate mitigation, and beach-side community indoor-outdoor spatial flow. The combination of intense Pacific sunlight, heavy morning marine layers, high humidity, and corrosive salt air requires highly specialized technical knowledge that goes far beyond basic aesthetics.

• Beach Transition Zones: All About Design Studio prioritizes practical space planning, including dedicated mudrooms, drop zones, or secondary entries specifically designed to contain wet gear, sandy towels, and surfboards before they reach the main living areas.

• Durable high traffic-designed floor materials.

• We design Interior Millwork: that reflects style of the property and overall concept. We love using multi-functional built-ins (like hidden storage beneath stairs and compact wall-mounted furniture) maximize utility and remove clatter. The interior is finished with organic textures — like white oak wood floors and metal or glass accents — maintaining a warm, relaxed beach vibe that respects the area's artistic roots.
